Terms of Service

1. About these services

Lew Labs Apps LLC, an Arizona limited liability company operating as Lew Labs Apps, provides Simple Checklist for Android, its informational website and the optional ChatGPT checklist handoff service. These terms describe their use. Core Free features include local checklists, manual and voice entry, sharing and widgets. Optional Pro features include Scan a List, Describe a List and ad-free use. No Simple Checklist account is required for ordinary lists or the handoff encoder.

2. Your content and choices

You retain your rights in content you provide. Submit only content you are entitled to use and share. You permit processing necessary to perform the action you request, such as validating checklist text and encoding a handoff link. Review suggestions for accuracy and suitability before relying on them or importing them.

3. ChatGPT handoffs and privacy

The handoff service does not create a Simple Checklist account, maintain a checklist database, synchronize devices or read local lists. It temporarily processes selected content. A complete handoff link contains encoded, not encrypted, checklist text and can be decoded by anyone who possesses it. Handoff links do not expire. Reopening requires fresh approval, and approving the same link again may add duplicate items. Share it carefully; copies cannot be recalled through this service. The mobile app requires explicit approval before saving imported items. You may edit, choose a destination or cancel. A suggested name is not proof that a list exists, and a link does not prove authorship or grant Pro access.

The approved product policy is that ChatGPT handoff is Free and separate from Pro AI subscriptions. The encoder makes no AI inference request and does not use the Pro AI allowance. ChatGPT may apply its own access or usage rules. The plugin is currently in private testing, not publicly listed.

4. Optional Pro plans and trial

Planned offering, not a checkout: the following product terms are approved for a future Google Play subscription offering. Subscription billing and these allowances are not implemented by this website or the handoff tool. The validated closed-test access is separate from a paid purchase and may change or end.

• Monthly Pro: $2.49/month.
• Annual Pro: $19.99/year.
• Paid allowance: 50 total AI actions per paid monthly entitlement period, shared by Scan a List and Describe a List, including voice-based use. The annual plan does not mean 50 actions for the entire year.
• Trial: seven days, with seven total AI actions and a maximum of one trial AI action per day.
• No introductory pricing discount. The planned 90-day Founding Launch marketing campaign does not change these prices or create a lifetime entitlement.

Before any paid launch, the actual Google Play offer must clearly show its price and currency, billing period, trial eligibility and conversion date, applicable taxes, allowance rules and cancellation instructions. No campaign dates or allowance reset time are promised on this page. Free ChatGPT handoff is not counted as a Pro AI action.

5. Google Play billing, renewals and cancellation

If you choose a recurring Pro subscription offered through Google Play, Google Play handles the purchase. The offer and payment confirmation must state when billing begins and what renews. An eligible trial converts to the disclosed paid plan unless you cancel before its end. No subscription or trial starts merely by using this website or requesting a handoff.

You can manage a Google Play subscription in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Uninstalling Simple Checklist does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation normally stops the next renewal while access continues for the time already paid, subject to the offer and applicable law. See Google Play's cancellation instructions.

Refund eligibility depends on Google Play's policies, the purchase circumstances and applicable law; this page does not guarantee or rule out a refund. See Google Play's app and subscription refund policy, or contact support for a purchase problem. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

6. Responsible use

Do not submit unlawful content, credentials or content that infringes others' rights. Do not attempt to bypass safeguards, overload the service, probe other users' data or impersonate others. We may limit or suspend abusive requests to protect service availability.

7. AI accuracy and your approval

AI-generated suggestions, image recognition and audio transcription can be incomplete or incorrect. Review the text, quantities, destination and selected items before approving any import. Simple Checklist is a general-purpose utility, not professional medical, legal or emergency advice. You can cancel a review instead of saving it. The handoff encoder validates and formats content; it does not verify factual accuracy or who authored it.

8. Third-party services and availability

Google Play, ChatGPT/OpenAI, device speech services, Google AdMob and hosting providers have their own applicable terms and policies. Lew Labs Apps is an independent publisher, not endorsed by OpenAI. Internet connectivity, supported app versions, compatible clients and third-party availability affect online features. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, public directory approval or compatibility with every device.

Features and supported clients may change. Any material changes to a paid offering must be communicated consistently with its purchase terms and applicable law. These terms do not exclude mandatory consumer rights, impose an arbitration requirement or select a governing jurisdiction.

9. Changes and contact

The privacy request procedure explains how to ask about information sent to us and request deletion where applicable. Local recovery copies, exports and provider records are distinct from active checklist entries. A privacy request does not require buying Pro, does not remotely erase local lists and does not cancel any Google Play subscription. The correspondence schedule in the privacy policy is an adopted manual practice, subject to applicable legal requirements and provider limitations; it is not an immediate erasure guarantee.
